A little rain couldn’t stop us during Karlee’s Durham senior portraits. I should have known that Karlee would be a boss to work with. She’s a scholar, a wicked softball player, and a national champion Shag dancer. In other words, she’s well-rounded, skilled, and banged out photos even in the rain!

We started in Downtown Durham in a record store. In Shag dancing, it’s really common to choose 50’s music and dance to the oldies and Karlee wanted to incorporate this vintage feel to her senior photo shoot. It was unique, cool, and a really good idea since the music means so much to her! After that we made our way through the rain around other spots in Downtown Durham before heading to an intimate park with water just outside of town.

The weather was a little unpredictable but that didn’t stop her and she was a blast to work with. A vintage senior portrait session in Downtown Durham is the best way to go as a senior!
